Current Guidance for Tennis

Following the government’s recent announcement that tennis with certain restrictions can resume in clubs across England, the following advice is specific to measures we have put in place to ensure tennis can resume at Woodbridge Tennis Club.

Please take some time to read through the information provided below to ensure your own and your fellow members’ safety. Also, please be aware that this situation may change subject to future advice from the government and/or LTA.

THIS MUST BE READ IN CONJUNCTION WITH LTA GUIDELINES that have been developed based on discussions with the government to help prevent the spread of Covid-19.
•• IF YOU OR ANYONE IN YOUR FAMILY OR HOUSEHOLD IS SHOWING SYMPTOMS YOU SHOULD NOT PLAY ••

  • During this period, a current member can use the courts with their family or another person even if they are not members
PAY & PLAY (Public Hire) remains currently unavailable
VENUE & FACILITIES
  • The clubhouse facilities will currently remain closed – this includes access to toilets, club balls, ball machine, etc
  • Floodlights should be avoided due to risk of contamination
  • The First Aid kit & Defibrillator can be accessed in the cupboard under bench to the left of the clubhouse door

COACHING – INDIVIDUAL COACHING LESSONS

We are now able to offer individual, paired and small group lessons for members of WTC with immediate effect. Players should arrive promptly for lessons.
All payments for lessons should ideally be made via BACS payment. If you would like to arrange a lesson, please contact your regular coach. Alternatively, contact Jon Mansfield for further information.
  • Balls will be provided by the coach
  • Courts will be booked by the coach
  • We will not change ends during lessons
  • Pupil should bring their own hand sanitiser and a FULL water bottle with enough to last the whole session

Any additional queries should be sent to jontennis1@gmail.com or contact Jon on: 07796 366032.

LAST NOTE
  • Please can all members ensure that if they are the last to leave the club in the evening that the gate is locked
  • Please be aware that you need a parking ticket for all East Suffolk car parks, including the one near to the club, and parking attendants are currently issuing fines to those cars without tickets
